IMPACT Gone Virtual

IMPACT 2020 was a success! IMPACT is the NICS/OASIS pre-field orientation program for new staff members heading overseas for their assignments. The event was virtual this year due to the travel and health restrictions surrounding COVID. Fittingly, our theme was “Separate But Together”.

The “mornings-only” program began on June 23, and concluded on June 26. A total of 93 participants from fifteen different countries joined the webinars which focused on transition overseas, living in a different culture, Third Culture Kids (TCKs), and agency-related sessions.

Some IMPACT presenters joined the NICS Home Office team on campus in Southaven, MS while others presented from other parts of the world. Our advisors were also scattered across the globe, and they were able to connect with participants near their respective time zones.

While the event was very different this year, we were pleased to see and hear many positive comments from new staff members who were encouraged and blessed by the training. We pray that the IMPACT sessions will continue to be a blessing to these men and women as they join the Network and serve the Lord around the world.
